My eldest son's class won for the third year straight in their annual field demo event at school. This year, their class opted for a jungle theme. The kids practiced almost every day for this event. And the parents helped, of course, with the costumes and the effects.
There was a discussion on what music to use and whether there would be any use for instruments like drums and percussions. Drums like great pintech drums are out of the question, but we did need drums like those used by natives for better sound effects. In the end, we opted to use sound clips from YouTube, which I converted to mp3, and they turned out great when one of the parents mixed them all up with MixPad.
I am so happy for the kids (who are almost teenagers now) and very proud of them. They worked hard and their efforts paid off. I am also happy and thankful for the parents who helped the kids, especially to the parent who taught them the dance steps. It was indeed a collaboration between the teachers, the parents and the kids.
